Each applicant is encouraged to have the support of the department in which he/she is working. Most deans feel the expense of a section NExT is a worthwhile investment in their faculty's teaching. Please ask your chair or dean to write a statement of support, indicating the amount of financial support the department can guarantee. (The support needed is mileage to three state section meetings, one night's lodging, one day's meals plus lunches at the meetings, and meeting registration fees, total approximately $270 per person total.)
